If you’re looking for a quiet spot in the heart of Grey County, The Guest House at Eugenia Falls is a great place to rest your head while in the area. In operation for over 5 years now, Rosanne will make you feel at home while staying in Eugenia.
The Guest House offers 5 rooms, the North, South & East bedrooms on the ground floor, as well as the Upper North & Upper South bedrooms. Each come with a variety of amenities, along with a shared common area for the ground floor rooms. The common area is equipped with a shared fridge, sink, toaster oven, kettle and microwave that guests are welcome to use. Not only that but if you’re lucky you’ll catch a glimpse of Missy – their adorable tabby cat!
My mother and I had the pleasure of staying in the South Bedroom. It boasts a queen bed, desk with chair and a large walk-out deck. You can also pay an extra $40 a night to have an additional single mattress so we could both stretch out nicely!
A three-piece ensuite is attached, but be prepared to share if the North Bedroom is booked at the same time as your stay. This is great for couples or friends travelling together, but it can be tricky. Just know that schedules may not align, and so I would bring a set of earplugs to help ensure a restful sleep!
Every morning breakfast is also included, which is served in the common room. If you ask in advance, you can also enjoy it privately on the deck in the warmer months or in your room if you’d prefer privacy. However, if you’re not one for breakfast, just let Rosanne know in advance and she’ll take $10 off of each night of your stay. If you’re looking for a great Sunday brunch, be sure to check out The Flying Chestnut just up the street! More on that later, but until then, drool over this!
The biggest draw for me? It’s that all you have to do is take a left turn out of the driveway and a 2-minute walk later you’re at Eugenia Falls! If the falls are the reason you’re staying in Eugenia, then I’d highly suggest a visit in the spring. The flow is pretty weak in the summer, as you can see by the comparison pictures below.
With easy access to the Bruce Trail, waterfalls close by and a central location within Grey County, The Guest House at Eugenia Falls is a great place for a getaway. It’s fantastic for hikers, explorers and foodies alike. What are you waiting for? Book your stay today!
Another big thank you to Grey County Tourism for suggesting The Guest House at Eugenia Falls. While they helped with some of the costs, all thoughts and opinions are my own!
