Last week one of my oldest friends Alex came up to visit from Michigan, and for a change of pace (as well as the fact that my mother has taken over our spare bedroom) we stayed at Robin’s family’s place in Stoney Creek. Out of all the times that Alex has come to visit, I believe only once have we not stayed in either St Catharines or Niagara Falls – so this was a bit of a treat! A quiet night of catching up was followed by some afternoon hiking at the Devil’s Punch Bowl the next day. I took my camera along and managed to get some nice shots, so I thought I’d share! If you ever get a chance to check out the Devil’s Punch Bowl Trail, do it. One of the Bruce Trail‘s side trails, it’s a beautiful spot for a couple hours of hiking. Don’t quote me, but I’m pretty sure if you follow the Bruce Trail it’ll lead you towards a stretch of trail that has a number of waterfalls close to each other. I tried to check on Google but alas it has failed me and the Bruce Trail just seems to end and then start again further on. If I get a chance to hike the trail myself, I’ll update this post with the news! Until then, check out the photos I took from our venture to the base of the punch bowl and back.
